Live Oak Public Library offers notary services for a fee at select locations.
Please contact a participating library location to schedule an appointment.
What to Bring
To have a document notarized, please:
- Call and schedule an appointment at a participating library
- Bring any required witnesses with you (library patrons or staff may not serve as witnesses)
- Ensure the document is complete—any blanks should be filled in or marked “N/A”
- Do not sign the document in advance. Documents signed beforehand will not be accepted
- Bring valid identification (Driver’s License, State ID, Military ID, or Passport)
- Ensure all signers are present at the appointment

Library RESPONSIBILITIES
Library staff will:
- Schedule individual appointments
- Provide a private or semi-private area for notarization
- Verify the signer’s identification
- Conduct the verbal ceremony
- Notarize the appropriate document
The Library reserves the right to decline a notarial request for any non-discriminatory reason

- Certified copies of original documents
- Affidavits / Verifications
- Acknowledgments
- Signature witnessing
Documents We CanNOT Notarize
- Pre-signed or pre-dated documents
- Deeds, Mortgages, or Wills
- Powers of Attorney
- Living Wills or Living Trusts
- Codicils* or Depositions*
- Birth, Death, or Marriage Certificates
- School Transcripts
- I-9 Employment Eligibility Forms
* Codicil: A legal document used to modify an existing will.
* Deposition: Pre-trial sworn testimony obtained from a witness.
